INTRODUCING THE FASTFOOT "MONOPOUR" SYSTEM.
 |
The Fastfoot® MP™ "monopour" system is a revolutionary design breakthrough in the
construction of concrete strip footings. It is designed to work with insulated concrete forms. Special fabric
is laid upon the leveled excavation, and the patented brackets are set on the fabric. The brackets have adjustable
horizontal members which hold the Logix forms by their interior webs. Fine vertical adjustment of the assembly is
made via the threaded vertical rod nuts to provide an accurate wall height, and the fabric is attached to the
bottom sides of the ICF form. Concrete is placed into the Logix form which fills both the fabric base, and the
first course of wall. The monopour (or footing and wall combined) is completed, thereby eliminating the cold joint
between footing and wall, separate forming of footings with its inherent labor, lumber usage, stakes and separate
concrete deliveries. There can be 2 or even three courses of ICF in this initial pour, which is stopped at midpoint
of a course. A huge advantage of this method is that the fabric acts as a vapor barrier between the earth and
concrete, thus eliminating ground moisture from the footing bottom, sides and top.
